Ann’s Tortillas Mexican Food enjoys major market share of Mexican food market in the UAE and records steady annual growth rate of up to 15 per cent in sales, its president and chief executive officer Oommen Iype said.

The company is sole distributors of Mexican specialty can food and spices from renowned manufacturers in the USA, which includes La Victoria, Embassa, Coco Lopez, C & F, Magic Seasoning and Yucatan etc.

The company, which was established more than a decade ago in Ajman, deals in imports, exports and manufacturing of Mexican food products in the UAE. The company has also been chosen as the approved supplier for several international chains in the Middle East.

“We manufacture around 70 per cent of our total products at Ajman facility and import rest of 30 per cent products. Some manufacturing ingredients come from the US market,” Iype told Khaleej Times during Gulfood 2013 in Dubai. Ann’s Tortillas is participating in the Gulfood 2013 in the US pavilion. This is the only company owned by an Asian and showcasing its products under the umbrella of the US pavilion. He indicated that a 55,000 square feet manufacturing facility is ready to open shortly that would improve its overall manufacturing capacity significantly.
