It was the beginning of a long-term partnership between two iconic carriers when Qantas’ first London-bound flight, under the new alliance with Emirates, landed at Dubai International Airport very late on Sunday.
The two airlines will offer 98 flights a week between Australia and Dubai. Qantas will be able to access 32 destinations in Europe on the combined Emirates and Qantas network. In the previous alliance, the so-called Kangaroo Route was offering five one-stop code-share destinations into Europe and the UK.
