Oman LNG achieves record one thousand injury-free days


With safety being the centre-piece of its operations, Oman LNG has announced a milestone achievement of one thousand injury-free days without a lost-time injury.

The new record translates to over 7.15 million man-hours, or almost three complete calendar years, without injuries to any personnel and highlights the company's vigorous attention to the safety and health of employees and contractors. This new record follows its reaching the five million man-hours mark in May 2012, according to a company press release.

Lost Time Injury (LTI) is used as a measure of safety in the workplace and generally refers to when an employee is injured in the execution of his duties and, as a result, that individual is unable to work on a scheduled work day.
