Doha: The highly-anticipated BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, powered by BlackBerry 10 (BB10) platform, will be available in Qtel’s retail shops soon. Customers will also be able to place orders online.
“Qtel will inform customers in the coming weeks when the product is in stock,” said a company statement yesterday.
Although Qtel did not specify a date, traders reveal that the latest edition of BlackBerry smartphone will be available in the Qatari market after February 10, coinciding with its arrival in the UAE.
Pricing will vary, but will remain unsubsidised and the product will retail for AED 2,599, according to a report.
The company is expecting strong demand from customers in Qatar.
“We’re delighted to soon offer the ground-breaking new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone powered by BB10. We expect strong demand at our retail shops for the BlackBerry Z10,” Mohammed Al Marri, Chief Sales and Service Officer at Qtel, said.
