Economic experts have stressed the importance of putting an end to high inflation which has affected a large number of citizens and expatriates.
Fadl Al-Bo’aynain, one of the experts, described the continuous hike in prices as a cancer that has spread everywhere.
Having a controlled monetary policy, using the tools of the policy to curb domestic inflation, and imposing stricter monitoring rules for markets should help treat this problem, he said.
He noted that the rise of prices can be attributed to several internal and external factors. The latter are related to the global food price hikes. High products costs around the world and financial crises are inflationary.
