DEWA launches new Dhs140m substation

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has activated a new main 132/11 kV Substation with a capacity of 150 Megavolt Amperes (MVA) in International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) during this month at a cost of Dhs117m, and has extended its existing network of 132 kV underground cables at cost of Dhs23m.

Led by its vision to become a sustainable world-class utility, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority contributes effectively to the social, economic and environmental development in Dubai by providing uninterrupted and stable supplies of electricity and water to achieve the Emirate's vision.

This achievement is part of DEWA's relentless pursuit, to carry out vital projects, especially in the high voltage 132Kv power transmission grid to enhance its efficiency to meet the increasing growth of demand for its services.
