Workshop to position Dubai as capital of Islamic economy


The Islamic Economy Higher Committee organised today a workshop participated by over 50 experts belonging to UAE’s key sectors in order to enhance their role in Dubai’s Islamic Economy initiative and integrate their visions to explore areas of cooperation and develop the initiative further.

In an opening speech during the event, His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman of The Islamic Economy Higher Committee, stressed the importance of enriching discussions and exchanging views in line with the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, in establishing Dubai as the capital of Islamic Economy.

"Our meeting today with experts from various key sectors in the UAE reflects the importance of effective partnership in making Dubai the capital of Islamic Economy. We have faith in the crucial role of our partners in supporting economic development, economic diversification, and Islamic economy, which at this stage is attracting considerable attention. Our partners are involved in this process from the planning to execution levels,” added His Excellency.
