F&B giant signs up to Qatar's Hamad airport


Food and beverage operator SSP has announced a joint venture with Qatar Duty Free to operate 11 outlets at the new Hamad International Airport.

The project will be SSP’s first venture in Qatar and is estimated to be worth $190m over a seven-year term, Airport World Online reported on Tuesday.

SSP said the new outlets, which will begin trading towards the end of 2013, will include a number of internationally brands alongside a selection of its own concepts.

SSP operates in more than 30 countries worldwide - in over 140 airports and 250 rail stations across Asia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, India and North Africa.
