Dubai offers huge investment opportunities to African firms


Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board members stressed on enhancing bilateral ties between the business communities of Dubai and Mozambique during a reception hosted in honour of Armando Emilio Guebuza, President of the Republic of Mozambique, and his accompanying delegation. The reception was held at the chamber’s premises on Monday evening.

Presenting an overview of Dubai economy, Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber, stated that the leading drivers of the emirate’s economic growth included trade, tourism, logistics and financial services as these sectors were continuing their high-growth performance and attracting more investors to the emirate.

He further stated that Dubai Chamber as part of its new strategy to reach out to untapped and promising markets of the world and to promote its members’ competitiveness in overseas business destinations is currently concentrating on the African continent and is all set to open its representative office in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
