JEDDAH – US exports to the 22 Arab nations increased more than 17 percent to $65.91 billion in 2012 from $56.18 billion in the preceding year, National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) data revealed.
By comparison, total US merchandise exports to the world increased by only 4.5 percent to $1.55 trillion in 2012 from $1.48 trillion the previous year.
In 2012, the UAE was the top US export partner in the Arab world, importing $22.57 billion in goods from the United States, a 41.9 percent increase over 2011.
