Qtel is expected to announce its brand overhaul at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today.
Among a series of new initiatives set to be unveiled by Qtel at the world’s largest communications event this year is a possible change in Qtel’s brand name and logo, it is learnt.
“Qtel Chairman Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani will be making a major announcement at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona,” the company said in a statement yesterday.
A live screening of the event will be held at the City Centre Cinema in West Bay today. The ‘New Mobile Horizon’ congress is expected to draw some 70,000 visitors at its Fira Gran Via venue.
The Qtel delegation will be led by the chairman, along with teams working in markets, including Qtel in Qatar, Asiacell in Iraq, Indosat in Indonesia, Nawras in Oman, Nedjma in Algeria, Tunisiana in Tunisia and Wataniya in Kuwait, the Maldives and Palestine.
