The Dubai World Trade Centre, or DWTC, continued to help boost trade activities in the emirate during 2012 as the regional trade networking hub on Saturday announced that more than 1.85 million visitors and nearly 37,000 companies used the events as a trading, promotional and sales platform for the Menasa region.
The announcement followed the annual general meeting of the DWTC, which was headed by Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of the DWTC. The 2012 results represent a 12.5 per cent increase in visitor numbers and a 5.5 per cent rise in exhibitor numbers compared to the previous year.
